I FOUND A LAMP MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF A "KEWANEE PORTABLE FIREBOX” IT IS A WONDERFULL ITEM. I HAVE CLEANED IT UP, PUT A LIGHT SOCKET AND SHADE ON IT. I HAVE IT ON MY DESK. I BECOMING INTERESTED IN THE HISTORY OF THE LAMP AND THE COMPANY. SOMEONE SPENT ALOT OF TIME PLANNING AND DESIGNING THIS. WONDERING IF ANYONE REMEMBERS THESE LAMPS. My father started this page to share information about the soldiers who are either deployed or are preparing to deploy to Iraq. I am currently stationed at Fort Hood, TX with HSB 1-82 Field Artillery, assigned to bravo company, 2-5 Cavalry as a fire support officer soon to be deployed myslef. Recently I was sent to Jordan with some of the officers from the 39th Infantry Division from Arkansas, the division that the Galva guard members are assigned to. From the training we recieved in Jordan, and from the contact with the leaders of the 39th, I can assure you all that the Galva unit will be in capable hands. I will make every attempt that I can to keep an eye on the Galva guys while they are at Fort Hood, and will try to get some pictures of their training posted so family and friends will know how they are preparing. Any unclassified information that I recieve about the 39th area of operation I will post. After serving with the 1st Cavalry division for a year already, I can say without a doubt that Galva's Sons and Daughters are deploying with one of the most capable divisions in the army, and they are in good hands with "America's First Team".
